Meal kit manufacturer HelloFresh unveiled plans to open a new distribution center in Irving, near DFW Airport. The nearly 375,000-squre-foot facility will serve as the company’s largest distribution center, joining its Grand Prairie center, and could employ as many as 1,000.

“This new facility bolsters our already strong presence in the region and further supports HelloFresh U.S. growth plans as we continue to invest in our facilities, our people and our technology to provide superior service and delicious meals to new and existing customers,” said HelloFresh CEO Uwe Voss.

By co-locating with its other facility in the same market, HelloFresh is leveraging operational efficiencies while tapping into existing supplier relationships and a strong workforce, said Lee & Associates’ Trey Fricke.

Fricke and Reid Bassinger from Lee & Associates’ Dallas-Fort Worth office represented HelloFresh, in partnership with their New York City-based colleagues Dennis Someck and Justin Myers.
